Build-to-Rent expert contributes to UKAA’s BTR Best Practice Guide
Launched recently at the UKAA (UK Apartment Association) BTR Expo, the Best Practice Guide for multi and single-family Build to Rent (BTR) brings together knowledge and experience from across the sector and offers a go-to resource to improve standards in UK BTR.
Godwin Development’s submission, authored by in-house BTR lead James Mulcare, focuses on four key considerations that build-to-rent developers needs to factor in to avoid asset stranding in the future. With over 20 years of experience across property investment and acquisition, James is a well-known figure in the industry and was named one of BTR’s most influential figures by EG magazine at the beginning of 2022.
The feature in the guide, entitled The importance of future-proofing design in BTR draws on Godwin’s in-house expertise and covers the key considerations for developers of BTR schemes. It includes addressing regulatory changes, consumer and investor requirements and the green agenda to build sustainably.
