Head of Residential Capital Markets named in BTR Most Influential List
The list, compiled by leading property publication EG, features some of the best-known figures in the industry. It includes investors, owner-operators, property developers, architects and advisors, all of whom are actively shaping the future of the asset class nationwide.
According to global real estate advisor CBRE, 2021 was a record-breaking year for BTR in the UK. The sector recorded a total of £2.1bn of investment in final quarter, taking the full year total to £4.1bn. With £2bn worth of deals in the pipeline and more than £2.5bn of schemes currently on the market, 2022 is set for another record performance.
EG highlighted that Godwin Developments has “ramped up” its BTR strategy through team growth and site acquisition. The company has been expanding through urban and suburban BTR developments as well as purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) across the country.
James Mulcare said: “I am very honoured to be included in this list alongside some incredible champions of the BTR sector which continues to go from strength to strength, delivering quality homes that are equally sought by residents and investors.
“As a business, we have a strong commitment to the BTR sector, both with city centre multifamily BTR developments and single family housing in suburban locations. We are continuing to expand our pipeline nationwide, focusing on areas with strong local economics and robust growth indicators. Those include London, Bristol and Birmingham, and the OxCam Arc and East Midlands which are particularly suited for single family housing.”
